New software package converts multiple images
into a single PDF document
Kendata Peripherals, the specialist supplier of data-entry
systems, has developed a new software package that provides
a straightforward method of converting multiple images into
a single, easy-to-view PDF document.
At its simplest, the 'ToPDF' software reads all the image files
from a user-specified folder and creates a PDF document with
the pictures arranged into the desired number of columns and
rows. ToPDF can handle most common image file formats, including
JPG, GIF, TIFF and BMP.
For greater versatility, the user can choose to construct the
PDF document by creating a text file containing the image locations,
which in this case can be from variety of different folders.
Using a text file also allows individual picture captions to
be added.
The images in the PDF document are resized according the number
on the page, but they retain their original resolution, enabling
the user to zoom in on small details. Documents created by ToPDF
can also incorporate password protection and watermarks such
as 'Confidential' or 'Proofs'.
ToPDF is priced at just £42 plus VAT, and a demo version
of the software can be downloaded from the Kendata website at
